About the Role

We are looking for a General Laborer to join our company and play a vital role in prepping and completing a variety of home remodeling projects. The role includes hands on training across all areas of home remodeling including (but not limited to): drywall installation, painting, tiling, basic electric and plumbing. Training is provided by a licensed contractor with over 20 years of experience. As a key contributor, you'll be responsible for assisting with site preparation, material handling, demolition, installations and supporting the contractor to ensure high-quality results. We value integrity, clear communication, and detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site setup and breakdown, including loading and unloading materials, organizing tools and supplies for daily tasks, rearranging and covering furniture with plastic.

  • Help with demolition, restoration, and remodeling projects by preparing surfaces and materials

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support construction activities with proper safety protocols in place

  • Read and interpret construction drawings to assist with project execution

  • Support carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, and cabinet installation, shoe and crown molding

  • Remove old and install new flooring including luxury vinyl tile/planks, carpet or tile

  • Hang, tape, mud and sand drywall

  • Paint interior walls and ceilings to meet project needs

  • Conduct regular site inspections and report end of day updates to management to ensure safety standards and project specifications are met

  • Install tile on walls, backsplashes, floors and shower niches

  • Assist with plumbing, electrical work, caulking, fabrication, and other specialized trades under supervision until fully trained

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site to promote safety and efficiency at all times

  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs


Minimum Requirements

  • High school degree, GED or equivalent

  • Familiarity with construction based work

  • Willingness for growth and training based on company standards
